Location
The park is located in the Comarca del Alto Gallego. This region, along with its neighbor Jacetania, are also known as “Old Aragon both regarded as the center of the historical Kingdom of Aragon. We sum over our route, passed the town of Biescas enter the valley of Tena, crossed from north to south by the river Gallego born in the French border “Portalet. ”
This valley has two major reservoirs: the Búbal and Lanuza. Both killed in construction to the two villages of those who have taken the name. At the top of the river Gallego and very near the French border to locate and Formigal Sallent, landmarks both for lovers of winter sports. Downstream on the right bank of the river to the height of Lake Búbal, Panticosa offers visitors a ski resort and its thermal spa.
We must not forget the small towns of the valley (Lanuza, Escarrilla, Sandini, Tramacastilla, Hoz de Jaca, Búbal, Polituara, remove and of course Piedrafita de Jaca) all holders of a huge attraction for visitors.
