In contrast to the Deers that lost their antlers every year, The Ibex, males and females both have horns that grow up during all their life and reach a great lenght and curve in the case of the males. The horns grow up a little every year. This growth starts in summer and stops in winter then each stop makes a bond called “medrón”, if we count this bonds we can know the age of the animal.
Ibex like rocky mountains to life,I n summer it goes up to more altitude to the tops and in winter it goes down looking for food.Ibex feeds with herbaceous until the snow covers all the ground, then they feed with ferns and branches that they find in the wood.
Ibex live in herds of females with their litters and one or more males togheter. Their fights in the heat time are amazing.
